Do I need a rental car?
Not necessarily, but we recommend one if you want to explore beyond Kotor. If you’re staying near Kotor and mostly attending our events, you will be fine.
Should I stay in Podgorica after a long flight?
If you arrive after a long travel day, spending one night in Podgorica can be a good idea before heading to Kotor.
What will the weather be like?
Late April is generally mild, but evenings can be cool, so bringing a light jacket or layer is a good idea.
Can I use Uber?
Uber doesn't operate in Montenegro, so taxis, private drivers, and rental cars are more common.
Do I need cash?
Cards are widely accepted, but it’s useful to have some euros in cash for smaller restaurants, taxis, and local shops.
Will the events be indoors or outdoors?
Expect a mix of indoor and outdoor events, weather permitting.
Is English widely spoken?
In Kotor and other tourist areas, you’ll generally be able to get around easily in English.
Is Montenegro safe?
Yes. Montenegro is very safe for travelers, and we’ve always felt comfortable traveling around.
